Wolfie’s Legacy
We are nominating Gill Daghistani and her team for a SuperDog Award for the amazing work they do at Wolfie’s Legacy. In 2011, Gill agreed to look after Wolfie, a disabled rescue dog for a couple of days. She was immediately smitten with Wolfie, and in that instant knew that he would change her life. He stayed with her for the rest of his days. Gill realised that whilst there were so many people willing to rescue and rehome able-bodied dogs, no one was doing the same for dogs with special needs.
Wolfie’s Legacy was born in 2013, becoming a registered charity in 2017, and since then has rehabilitated and rehomed over 500 dogs of all ages, from all over the world, with varying degrees of disability.
