Zina was adopted from Dogs Trust a few years ago. I could barely leave the house because of my autism and I was scared of everything and everyone. Having Zina greatly improved my life. She would calm me down by laying on me, sitting on me, licking my face and playing fetch with me. I could leave the house, even by myself, and I had so much confidence when she was by my side.
Zina sadly passed away in late May after battling an illness for just over a month. She was happy and looking after me until the very end. She was my entire world. I miss her every day, and am so much less independent without her. Zina was my super dog, always there when I needed her most just like I was there for her, which is why I think she deserves to be nominated.
