SuperDog Category Finalist

Max Out in the Lake District

Max is owned by Kerry and Angela Irving. He is a wonderful pet who has helped Kerry through a traumatic time after a serious accident impacted his health. Max gave Kerry the will to try to walk again, staying by his side every step of the way.

Max is now a therapy dog along with his brothers Paddy and Harry and he gives joy to all around him. He has his own Facebook page and videos of him have helped many people through the lockdown.

With his calming presence and his funny antics, Max Out in the Lake District is not just any dog. he is a SuperDog who has also raised many, and I mean many, thousands of pounds for charity. He has also raised thousands of smiles on the faces of people all around the world.

Max and his owner Kerry are truly inspirational and have touched the lives of so many others all around the world. With the additional help from Harry and Paddy, they all continue to bring me joy by joining them on their virtual walks. Angela also deserves a special mention for being always there supporting them all too. Thank you Kerry and the wonderful Max for raising awareness of mental health and the importance of that special bond between ourselves and our beloved petโ€™s!

We are so glad we found Max out in the Lake District.
Kerry takes us along on the walks through a beautiful part of the world.
He lifts up our spirit with steady loyal Max, bouncy springy Paddy , protective adventurous Harry and the occasional glimpses of lovely shy Angela!!!!!
Max inspires Kerry and he inspires us all who watch him.

Following Max, Paddy, Harry and of course Kerry during this Covid crisis has helped me so much. As I had to shield for long periods of time, checking Kerr’s outside broadcast kept me going. They all do so much for various charities and have raised so much money for them. It’s almost unbelievable. They deserve this award to show our appreciation.

Kerry and his wonderful dogs have kept so many people going for a long while but during lockdown their audience grew, something to look forward to each day. As a team they have done so much to try and remove the stigma of mental health and depression, getting people to talk more and there isnโ€™t a day that goes by they donโ€™t make you laugh out loud. They deserve every accolade going, by doing so much for so many x

I follow max paddy and harry and Kerryโ€™s page on Facebook after reading the book a year or so ago and it brings a smile to my face and love and light and happiness to so many people daily. The work and fundraising for so many charities are tireless and amazing. Max helped Kerry so much and Kerryโ€™s openness and honesty about the physical and mental health issues Max and his furry brothers helped him overcome are inspiring. So many of us love them all from afar and Max is now getting older but still doesnโ€™t stop! Truly deserving of this award xx

Here in Melbourne, Australia (the worlds longest locked down city) I have found Max Out in the Lake District to be an amazing font of escapism & has boosted my mental health immeasurably. I so look forward to the daily walks in the stunning scenery and watching them all out n about in nature, just the thing to break the monotony. At times I laugh out loud at the boys antics and I eagerly look forward to each and every outing.
