I would like to nominate my son’s Autism Assistance Dog “SAUCE”. He came into our lives almost 4 years ago and changed our lives so much, not only for my son but also for my husband. My son has progressed a lot since getting Sauce, both verbally and in school. Also, my husband who has PTSD is helped so much. Sauce intervenes with self-harm, meltdowns, anxiety and depression by using toys as a distraction, deep pressure therapy cuddles, kisses and lays beside for help during sleep. He also helps ease anxiety by laying on his back allowing my son to scratch his belly instead of himself.
