Hummus
Hummus and I met at a shelter when we were 7 months and 15 years old respectively. Since then he’s saved my life more than once. I survived a stroke at 16 and had to be evacuated to the USA, without Hummus. There I re-learned to walk, speak and feed myself. After 6 months, I returned home with severe paralysis on my right side. Hummus helps me get up in the morning, go outside, feed myself even when I don’t want to, get up when I fall (literally, by using his harness) and all the other million things I have to do to care for myself.
