Medical Detection Dogs is an organisation that trains dogs to detect the odour of human disease. These incredible SuperDogs have demonstrated more efficient and less invasive diagnostic techniques which lead to early intervention and ultimately better patient outcomes. The organisation also trains Medical Alert Assistance Dogs to detect minute changes in an individual’s personal odour triggered by their disease and alert them to an impending medical event, helping them manage complex, life-threatening medical conditions and improving their quality of life. The Medical Detection Dog Team lead by CEO, Dr Claire Guest, have even trained these special dogs to detect COVID 19 and are most deserving of a SuperDog Award.
