We got Sullivan 5 days before my husband was diagnosed with cancer and in a lockdown world, he has been our beacon of hope and sanity. My husband had aggressive treatment and awful side effects and SuperDog Sullivan has given us the strength and motivation we needed. My daughter and I have been able to care for my husband as we had no nursing care due to covid. My husband was non-verbal for much of his treatment, so at times he was very frustrated. However, Sullivan made us laugh so much every day, giving us the distraction we needed. My husband is slowly getting better and stronger and Sullivan gives him the motivation to get out and about. I am nominating Sullivan for a SuperDog Carer Award because I have no doubt at all that he has helped my husband’s recovery and given us all that extra strength we needed.
