Bella is an amazing 5-year-old collie cross lurcher. She is a happy energetic dog who is obsessed with the ball! She deserves to win a SuperDog Award because when I was just 18 years old, I was diagnosed with stage 4 GBM brain tumour. One year later then I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma on top. I’ve been through many different types of chemo, radiation and clinical trials and nothing has worked or been successful. Unfortunately, I have been giving a limited time on my life as no chemo is going to cure me. I am now 23 and still undergoing regular treatment to try and prolong my life. Bella has been my best friend and assistant dog all the way through my treatment. She comes to every appointment, is always by my side when I feel poorly and when I’m having my good days. If it wasn’t for Bella I would feel so alone and she gives me purpose in my life. Many people say this, but she is like my child and my best friend. She gives me a reason to get out of bed every single day and is always so compassionate, caring and all in one, the perfect dog.
