Sasha
SuperDog Nominee
Sasha
My SuperDog, Sasha, was adopted from the Manchester Dogs Home when she was 2 years old. She hadn’t had the best start in life as she was used for breeding and as a bait dog. She was really reactive to all dogs, and training her was very difficult. It took a number of years, but eventually, Sasha was able to walk off-lead and socialise with other dogs happily. Sasha also had cancer three times throughout her life. The worst was an MCT on her hind leg which required a specialist operation at Liverpool to remove. This resulted in her having muscle wastage and joint problems. Through a combination of canine massage therapy and hydrotherapy, her pain was controlled. Sasha lived a great life but unfortunately passed away last September due to CKD. I’m nominating her for a SuperDog Award because she was my absolute best and soul mate. She was there by my side through a lot of big milestones in my life and I will never forget her. She is always in my heart 💜🐾🐶
