Mylie is nominated for a Naturo SuperDog Award for being the very first therapy dog at Loughborough College in Leicestershire.
Mylie is owned by Danni Donavan who is the college’s safeguarding lead. She believes there are huge benefits to campus life having a dog around. When Mylie was just four months old she was introduced to 18-year-old Cara, a first-year student having a difficult time with her mental health. Cara says, “Having her around and knowing I can see her whenever I want and knowing I have some sort of responsibility it did save my life quite a few times, knowing that she’s there.”
