When I lost my previous dog I was devastated. “No more, ” I said. Then my cousin’s dogs had puppies. I held seven of them and nothing. Then I picked up Butch (named after an uncle) and he licked my neck. Within a day I put my name on him. He has helped to heal me. He listens when I talk. If I cry, he snuggles into me and he is always happy to see me if I have had to go out. In the morning he taps me on the head to wake me up, then cuddles into me for kisses. Butch is not just a companion, he’s my friend and my family, and that is why I’m nominating him for a SuperDog Award. x
