Lovely Leia came to me last year following the death of my old boy who I’d had for 14 years. She is a Romanian rescue who has endured life on the streets at one point before being rounded up to safety.
I was so lucky that I adopted her just ten days before lockdown began in the Uk and she helped to keep me and my girls sane during that time.
More recently she has also seen me through the death of my lovely uncle and earlier this week the death of my beloved Dad.
I will be signing her up as a pets as therapy dog as soon as I am able. It’s only the pandemic which has prevented me from doing so thus far.
