Bodie was a gift from my family to lift my spirits. Living through the pandemic with Parkinsons was challenging. It handed me the perfect situation to be even more detached from life and when my mum passed away recently, I lost all interest in life. But Bodie has given me a purpose to engage with life again. She has given me hope for the future and has become the sticking plaster, the comforter, who is helping me heal. She is loving, funny and needs stimulation which is taking us to new places and meeting new people and their dogs as we both benefit from socialising.
