
Retired Police Dogs Trust helping our loyal k9’s live their lives out in peace and comfort
The Naturo Superdog Awards have highlighted the most wonderful collection of associations working tirelessly to make dogs’ lives better.
The Naturo Superdog Team Awards Category is full to the brim with people making a real difference to those with no voice of their own. The London Retired Police Dogs Trust is a great example of this.
The person who nominated this fantastic association wrote the following:-
“London Retired Police Dogs Trust was launched in 2019. Their sole aim of providing welfare and support to all the retired police dogs of London. It is one of 15 local retired police dog charities that It is run by volunteers. Numerous awards are being paid in full ensuring these wonderful dogs enjoy the retirement they deserve. It’s our way of saying thank you for keeping our communities safe.”
Furthermore, Dame Judi Dench is a patron of this charity and she has raised its’ profile tremendously. They raise funds to cover medical bills and treatment for these loyal and hard-working souls. They have stood by their police handlers for many years ready to give their lives to protect them and keep our communities safe.
In conclusion, Trustees Mrs. Emma Dignam, Mr. Phil Wells and Mr. Kristian Leighton have done an amazing job running this wonderful association. It continues to make lives better for retired Police Dogs allowing them to live out their final years in the peace and comfort they so deserve.
